Jamie Fleishman is a transracial adoptee from Zhenjiang, China. Since being adopted at 17 months, she has lived in Montgomery County where she attended both public and private schools. Throughout her life, she had difficulties determining her identity due to being raised in a predominately white household. However, since her graduation from the University of Maryland, College Park she has been exploring her found identity as a transracial adoptee and an Asian American woman. With her background in Community Health and her interest of working with underserved Asian Americans, she hopes she can provide a positive experience to the youth of AALEAD!
