Helen Beaudreau

Helen Beaudreau is a dedicated public servant with two decades of federal experience, including roles in the Biden-Harris Administration at the White House National Security Council, the Peace Corps, and most recently as Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) and the President’s Advisory Commission on AANHPI. A first-generation immigrant, Helen was the first Korean American to lead both the Initiative and the Commission.

She previously served nearly a decade as a senior congressional staffer to Congresswoman Grace Meng (D-NY) and Congressman Mike Honda (D-CA), spearheading equity, gender, justice, and human rights policies, including key legislative victories for AANHPI communities, such as the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act. Her career also includes roles at the World Bank; a nonprofit supporting AANHPI students in higher education; and two tours as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Georgia and the Philippines.

Helen holds a B.A. in English Literature from U.C. Santa Barbara, and dual degrees in M.P.A. and M.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. She is fluent in Korean and Georgian, and lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children.
