Uday Shah
Uday Shah is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank based in the Washington, D.C., metro area. He works with a select group of high- and ultra-high-net-worth families and individuals, connecting them with the extensive resources of the Private Bank to create customized strategies for managing complex wealth.
Uday leads and coordinates a team of knowledgeable specialists to support each client’s wealth management goals and priorities. Together with the team, he can provide strategies for fiduciary investment management, succession planning and philanthropy; trust and estate planning services; and credit and lending solutions. He believes the fiduciary platform offered by the Private Bank is essential to the team’s commitment to provide a superior client service experience.
Prior to joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2003, Uday was a financial consultant at Bank of America in Atlanta, Georgia. He started his financial career at Northwestern Mutual. Earlier, he used his leadership skills to coach track and field and cross- country teams at the Olympic and Division I Collegiate level.
Uday is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He earned a B.A. degree at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance at the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business.
Playing youth sports was valuable to Uday’s personal development. He believes in “paying it forward” as a volunteer coach for his children’s sports teams.
