Youth Council Presents Research Projects on Educational Equity

As we’ve concluded our school year and now deep into summer, we’re reflecting on an incredible school year—and shining a spotlight on our amazing Youth Council! This dedicated group of young leaders spent the year diving deep into important social issues. They researched topics on educational equity, focusing on disability rights, and mental health. Guided by best practices in research, they honed their skills in gathering and analyzing information, all while choosing topics that resonated personally with what they see happening in their own communities.

The culmination of their hard work was a powerful series of presentations where they shared their findings with confidence and clarity. What made this experience even more meaningful was the opportunity to present to our Board of Directors, who not only offered valuable feedback but also expressed how much they learned from the youth’s insights. It’s inspiring to see these young voices making a real impact and shaping conversations about equity and inclusion in our community. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
