AALEAD is currently hiring for the following positions:

Community College & Internship Programs Coordinator (Full Time)

The Community College & Internships Programs Coordinator will support AALEAD’s community college and internship programs. This position is part of a dynamic team that is committed to providing opportunities and support for low-income Asian Pacific American youth. This position will report 40 hours per week and will be based out of the AALEAD DC office with some work days in the AALEAD VA office or the campus of Montgomery College.

Development & Communications Manager (Full Time)

The Development & Communications Manager will be part of a dynamic and committed team working to provide new opportunities to low-income and underserved Asian Pacific American youth. This position will focus on leading AALEAD’s development efforts including the preparation and timely submission of grant applications, monitoring and coordinating required grant reports, and implementing AALEAD’s donor cultivation strategy. Communication efforts include effectively marketing and communicating AALEAD’s programs through traditional and social media and donor stewardship.

DC Elementary School Assistant Teacher Position

AALEAD’s Assistant Teachers support the DC Elementary School Program Teachers in providing homework support and facilitating daily enrichment lessons focused on helping students grow in AALEAD’s three outcome areas: Educational Empowerment, Identity, and Leadership. The program primarily serves low-income Asian Pacific American youth in elementary school between the ages of 5-13 and runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at Thomson ES and Bancroft ES. The DC Elementary School Program Assistant Teacher reports to the DC Elementary School Site Coordinator and DC Programs Manager.
